{"id":209,"date":"2016-01-31T14:13:50","date_gmt":"2016-01-31T14:13:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pyramidhead.forgot.his.name\/?page_id=209"},"modified":"2016-03-30T23:35:31","modified_gmt":"2016-03-30T23:35:31","slug":"biography","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/guitargav.writesthisblog.com\/index.php\/biography\/","title":{"rendered":"Biography"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\"><strong>As a young boy<\/strong> at the time <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gary-moore.com\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Gary Moore<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ericclapton.com\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Eric Clapton<\/span><\/a> were always on television. I was very interested and idolised their playing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\">I picked up the Guitar at the age of 12, when two relatives provided me with life long tools that would encourage my lead technique and rhythm skills.\u00a0 As a left handed person I was still figuring out which way was most comfortable to hold the instrument.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\">Originally <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/music\/artists\/c7cf4584-bfb1-4cf5-be41-aef384310bbb\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The Shadows<\/span><\/a> music was given to me,\u00a0 shortly after <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elvis.com\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Elvis Presley<\/span><\/a> hits and The Eagles were brought to my attention.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\">By practising every day and eventually rehearsing for live shows at school and college, I became more familiar with how full songs are structured for other people to sing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\">At College I heard about a local professional band called The Blues Giants featuring Mike Hatton and Steve Ajao.\u00a0 They gave me the opportunity to perform with them in Birmingham where I played rhythm Guitar and lead for a solo.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_219\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-219\" style=\"width: 261px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-219 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/pyramidhead.forgot.his.name\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Biography-1-261x300.jpg\" alt=\"Biography\" width=\"261\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/pyramidhead.forgot.his.name\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Biography-1-261x300.jpg 261w, http:\/\/pyramidhead.forgot.his.name\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Biography-1.jpg 289w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 261px) 100vw, 261px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-219\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Blues Giants<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\">Whilst learning the Guitar, steady Bass Blues lines were also appealing so I began learning the Bass and moved across from Blues, rock to funk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\">A couple of years later friends and relatives heard about my playing so I began giving one to one lessons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\">After college, in 2003 a job opportunity came to my attention:<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\">&#8216;Guitar Tutor for Adult Education&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\">Things were about to change&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\">Now tutoring many different people of all ages with different backgrounds and abilities, I can recommend practice routines to suit your pace ready for each session.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_14\">Also in recent years <strong>professional Guitarists<\/strong> have asked for my advice on techniques.
